FOOD: Gelato Messina Appreciation Class (Sydney, Australia)

If only school was like this everyday...
With Gelato Messina being my favourite dessert store, I am so thankful to be able to attend their Gelato Appreciation Class last February! It was GELATO HEAVEN that day. The best part? the Gelato Messina Chefs created special gelato wonders, especially made for the class, while listening to the great Gelato Messina crew talk about the store's history, and how they are able to express their creativity through gelato!
Curious about how the classes are done? Well, you are gonna be like a student on a field trip, and here are the fun rules:
1. You have to find the Messina store where you will all meet up to have a coffee, and get to meet your classmates at 9 a.m.
2. Hop on board the Messina bus to get to the Messina factory.
3. Get a seat and browse your own Gelato Messina book that includes their recipes, while waiting for the class to start.
4. Listen to the answers to your curiosity through a fun discussion about what Messina is and how it started.

5. Watch and listen to the Messina chefs as they create wonderful gelato concoctions that you get to try!

6. As you are enjoying the class, you are going to be served with a number of uniquely and creatively made gelato, especially prepared by the chefs for the whole class!
Knights of Macedonia: Blood Plum Sorbet, Compressed Peaches, Peach Meringue, Apricot Puree, Mirabelle Plum Jelly, and Vanilla Mascarpone Cream |

7. GELATO CAKE. Gelato Messina is famous for having very elaborate and creative designs for their cakes. And of course, they are very tasteful! So in this class, their pastry chef will show you how they make their gelato cake, and you get to eat it too!

8. Hop on back to the Messina bus to go to their store, and get the chance to have the store all to yourselves, wherein you can go taste all the flavours as much as you can!
9. Get a tub and choose your gelato.
10. Go home and look forward to eating more, and trying recipes out from your Gelato Messina book!!!
