I have never done a proper Christmas song for the past few years that I've been doing song covers. I get requests, but I guess I never had the time to push through (excuses, I know).
This year, I promised myself to be productive and productive it has been. Glad that my year is ending with another awesome collab with Geoff aka Gzee, whom I've worked with before in 2011 for a parody of "Nice Guys" by Kevjumba, Chester See, and Ryan Higa. The only difference between that and this is I'm not rapping in this one haha!
Anyway, it was an awesome collab! Gzee definitely had that Michael Buble voice that the song needed. He did all the mixes and this video. Thanks Geoff for inviting me to do this! It was a fun jam indeed!

It's a song about two friends, or bestfriends rather, who are in love with each other. They are happy that their friendship turned out that way.

I haven't been singing for a year due to me being busy at work (not really an excuse, I know), but I got inspired to sing this sad but beautiful song from the movie, "Begin Again", which stars Keira Knightley, Adam Levine, and Mark Ruffalo.
The song is very deep and moving, and has a lot of interpretations. For me, it is all about love and life itself. Our purpose in this world.
I feel like there are two stories in this song, which can be the cause of so many interpretations out there. Then again, we can all interpret things differently, but here is mine.
There is this couple. They started out as perfect. They totally believed they can make it no matter what tomorrow brought them. They believed that they were meant to be. Then something changed. They started to question things and were struggling to work things out between them. They started to feel lost. They are now in tears. Will they compromise to be together again?
And then it goes on to questioning one's purpose. It must have been an extension of questions. A self-reflection. A mentioning of faith and beliefs that may turn into reality, as well as questions about youth being wasted. This may be the romance that happened in the past that was thought of as a waste. It may also be something else. But it all comes down to questions. Do we keep running away? Or should we face what we have to face, and find who we are and what was meant for us?

"Let It Go" Filipino Parody : "Summer Na!"
Monday, May 26, 2014TravelizteraSo when boredom strikes, a Filipino version of "Let It Go" happens... Lyrics made no sense, but please forgive her for blurting out what's inside her head. A random parody of Boracay, monopods, and the summer sun that disappears.
The summer season in the Philippines is very unpredictable. You pack everything up for your beach getaway, and then it rains. Or if it's the rainy season and you're all in your jackets, the sun suddenly appears.
Anyway, before I went to work, I randomly wrote down whatever was in my head to the tune of "Let It Go" from Frozen. I just thought about how the weather is going unsteady for us. Thus, whatever lyrics you may hear with regards to Boracay, monopods, selfies, and the weird summer season, please forgive me.

Our Cover of Miss Saigon's "I Still Believe"

With London setting off with their Miss Saigon production, I guess it's time to celebrate with the Miss Saigon love through this duet I did with my good friend from college, Ate Charmaine.
Last year, we decided to finally continue our plan of singing a Miss Saigon song, despite the fact that we both live far from each other.
I am currently in Australia, and Ate Charmaine is in the Philippines. Basically, I decided to just edit our song tracks and videos, and here is the result!
The song we chose is "I Still Believe", which is a duet of Kim and Ellen. The version we sang was the one wherein Kim was played by Miss Lea Salonga, and Ellen was played by Claire Moore.
In this video, Ate Charmaine is singing Kim's part, and I am singing Ellen's part.

Our "Born This Way" Cover Got Remixed

In 2011, I had a collaboration with amazing musicians, Alex and Deborah, and the outcome truly made us happy. It was a cover of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way", and I can still remember how that song was "all over" that year.
A few months later, someone decided to remix our cover, and then 3 years later, another one made a remix.

I first discovered The Superhero Collab 2 when I started doing videos on Youtube as mshypersinger in 2010, and I was impressed with the special effects done by a fellow Filipino, Reggie a.k.a. regisor94. Then I saw the video that started it all, The Superhero Collab 1 by another Filipino, Jason a.k.a. chinaeyes22, and I was definitely hooked! These two are totally creative and talented! Then I discovered that these two were actually working together to execute the series well!
The Superhero Collab has been done for years in collaboration with Noytube (by Jason a.k.a. chinaeyes22) and IWAY (by Domingo a.k.a. Domingo0022), and in 2011, The Superhero Collab was continued for its third installment.

What I like about the series is the fact that it doesn't just simply jam in videos from invited Youtubers, and add special effects for a wow reaction. There is a really good storyline, and the Youtubers get directed regarding what to do in order to execute the video well. This post is about another Youtuber related to our last featured person, Chinaeyes22. I didn't know these two knew each other, until they both saw we were all connected. I already saw his video even before I became mshypersinger on Youtube.That video was a tribute to HappySlip, and it was full of 3D effects and was very impressive. Nonetheless, I learned that he was part of Noytube, and he was making great collab videos alongside Chinaeyes22. Ever since, I've been invited to their numerous collabs, and I am honoured to be part of these.
This person I am going to introduce to you is someone who is known for creating great visual effects on Youtube. He is most famous for his SUPERHERO COLLABS, wherein so many Youtubers from all over the world turn into heroes and villains effortlessly (because all the effort goes to Regisor94 who will be editing everything lol). He has creative ideas, and is willing to help out other Youtubers in creating explosive videos (literally full of explosions! hehehe!). He is known to be a kuya or a big brother to Youtubers, and is a great friend to anyone. Let us check out our YOUTUBER-- REGISOR94!!!

When did you start Youtube?
- I created a YouTube account in July of 2007. It was solely for the purpose of uploading an entry for the Heinz “Taste This!” video contest.
Why did you decide to finally share your videos online?
- I decided to finally share some of my student work online, because I really wanted to reach a bigger audience. Before YouTube, the largest audience I’ve reached with my work was at the screening of my student film “Dare to Dream” during one of the Art Institute of Washington’s film festivals. It felt amazing to know that so many people were actually watching what I had created.
Posting my videos online and actually getting feedback from people in other parts of the world provided a very similar feeling.
How long have you been producing videos (even outside the online world) ?
- I've always been interested in movies and special effects since I was a kid, but I never started producing videos until the early '90's, when a friend and I started making mini-documentaries and music videos of fun times with our friends. We actually started editing using two camcorders, a VCR and an old BetaMax.
In 2002, I went to school for animation and motion graphics, but also learned a lot about editing and cinematography. I gained a lot of editing experience from producing behind-the scenes documentaries of two 48-HOUR Film Projects. After that, I tested my hand in special effects and compositing.
Only in 2008 did I really do videos about myself for YouTube.
How did you come up with your username?
- In college, I first came up with “RegiSor” as a brand name for a business class. It was just part of my first name and my last name. That nickname stuck with me ever since. When I started YouTube, I really had my heart set on using that name even more because I learned that “regisor” meant “movie director” in another language. Unfortunately, it was taken.
I created “RegiSor2” but I didn’t like how it sounded merely like an alternate version of “RegiSor” so I immediately deleted that channel. I decided to draw off my fond memories as a Commissary bagger where I was “Bagger 94.” And so “RegiSor94” was born. I really loved how it had both rhyme and rhythm to it. I stuck with it and still like it to this day.
What kind of videos do you do?
- If I really had to narrow it down, I’d say I do, first and foremost, action movie trailers, and secondly, music videos. As with all my videos, they’re all intricately edited and always have some sort of motion graphics or special effect in them. It all depends on the vision that I have in my head in each project. I rarely vlog, but I also like to do travel videos and YouTube gathering/meetup videos.
I simply want to do videos that are more than just ordinary. Whether it’s through edits to music, visual effects or graphics, I want my viewers to have something unique to watch with every video, and to expect that level of video every time.
Where do you get your inspiration when it comes to making these videos?
- Ideas for my videos really come from a variety of sources. When listening to the lyrics of some songs, I can actually picture my own video in my head. And often times, it’s very hard to let those visions go. Other times, I’m inspired by action, fantasy, and science-fiction movie trailers.
What is your BEST VIDEO that will summarize what you can offer ?
- Most people would say either “Down to the Wire” or “The SuperHero Collab 2” would be my top choices for my BEST video, but honestly, I’d say that my best video was “Wreckless Driven.” That video tells in detail the actual events of a near-accident in 2008 which became a truly eye-opening experience.
The script from that video was directly from a blog I wrote soon after that fateful day. I simply adapted it for the video. “Wreckless Driven” used every story-telling technique I had in my arsenal: from telling the story on camera, to recreating the scenes on the road, from motion graphics to compositing with a green screen, and even to 3-D animation. For that one video, I did whatever it took to recreate my personal perspective to my viewers.
But aside from that video being a very technical work of art, it was also very emotional and compelling. It really tested my editing skills to make it flow smoothly and to find the perfect music for the mood. The song at the end is still very moving to me whenever I hear it.
What is your overall goal in terms of video production? Do you want to fully pursue this career?
- I’d certainly like to do more with effects and compositing. I certainly feel like I’m the type of person who doesn’t mind endless hours of editing, or going frame-by-frame for a quick effect. So I would certainly like to work for a big production house like Industrial Light & Magic. Ultimately, I’d love to direct and produce my own movies.
What was your greatest accomplishment on Youtube?
- You would think that either “HappySlip Havoc” or “The SuperHero Collab 2” would be the ones I’d consider my greatest accomplishment on YouTube, since they have the most views on my channel. However, I’d say that my greatest accomplishment on YouTube is helping form the online Pinoy YouTuber group known as NoyTube.
NoyTube has inspired me to travel and actually meet so many people, and even to bring together all the people I know. I’m proud to be deemed “The American Ambassador of NoyTube” (all though I’ve been to Canada too!) All the connections that I’ve made, with others and between many others, is something I’m most proud, and something I never expected to do when I started YouTube.
Any message for the viewers?
- I’d just like to say that, with YouTube, and so many other things in life: You get out of it what you put into it. Do your videos because you ENJOY doing videos. If you’re only in it to seek internet stardom, you more than likely will end up disappointed, even if you do become a YouTube partner which is hardly the “end-all, be-all” of this site. Just have fun, remain true to yourself and not stress yourself out over videos. Your audience will pick up on your positivity and certainly enjoy your videos much more.

Before I even became MsHyperSinger on Youtube, I've been under another username (which I only used for uploading school videos and vlogs) from 2006 to 2010, and I used to pass by videos with a familiar face that was always connected to "NOYTUBE" videos. I was curious as to what "NOYTUBE" was and realized that it was an online community of Filipino Youtubers, started by a man named JASON a.k.a. CHINAEYES22. Through him, Filipino Youtubers would get introduced through video collaborations, and they would end up becoming friends. It reminds me of the blog world as well, wherein we all end up being friends in a particular community, and we collaborate with each other to create posts, whereas it is video collaborations on Youtube.
I never reached out to this community-- I only watched. The reason why I did not reach out was because I thought it was only for Youtubers who really made serious projects online. I was the type who only uploaded videos for the sake of my friends seeing them. Little did I know that it was indeed for EVERYBODY, and you do not necessarily have to be a serious Youtuber to be part of the community. In 2010, I opened MsHyperSinger's channel, and saw Chinaeyes22's channel again. I left him a comment, and he replied right away, welcoming me to their community. After all the years that I knew him without him knowing me, we finally got connected.
He is a very friendly and humble person, who has a very creative mind. No wonder he is a director and graphics artist at ABS-CBN! Nonetheless, it is amazing how he is sharing his talent online as well, giving wonderful and creative video opportunities that the celebrities are getting to non-celebrity Filipinos like us. He has been holding gatherings for other Filipino Youtubers to meet, and if it wasn't for him, Noytube would not exist, and Filipinos (as well as non-Filipinos) from all over the world would not be able to discover other creative people as well. In other words, he created an impact on Youtube, and that is why, he is on spotlight today! Let's get to know the man behind "Noytube"!

- I started in YouTube way back in April 2006.
Why did you decide to finally share your videos online?
- I decided to share my videos online because I feel that there is so much I want to share to the world and I felt that my talent will help me meet new people around the world.
How long have you been producing videos (even outside the online world) ?
- I've been producing my own videos for over 10 years now. I've always been excited and inspired in making animated shorts. Making films has always been my passion.
How did you come up with your username?
- My username "ChinaEyess22" was my code name way back when my YouTube account was just a mugen channel. I was very interested in 2D fighting games before my channel became the Filipino-loving YT channel it is today.
What kind of videos do you do?
- I make all sorts of videos. From short silly comedy skits, to science fiction, action-adventure stories filled with loads of special effects, to travel videos that feature me touring various cities abroad. A majority of my works feature collaborations that allow my friends to participate in my videos... It's more fun that way.
Where do you get your inspiration when it comes to making these videos?- I get my inspiration in making videos from my family and friends who constantly watch and comment on my videos. It is these people who I care the most who continue to motivate me in staying in YouTube.
What is your BEST VIDEO that will summarize what you can offer ?
- Hmmm... That's a difficult question... I have a lot of personal favorites. The best video that would probably summarize what I can offer to my viewers is "POSSESSED". That awesome video has it all! Special effects, great directing, hilarious acting and most of all the participation of my online friends. It's one of my most successful video collabs in YouTube and am very proud of to this day. I had a lot of fun producing it.
Another "best video" I may add would be my NOYTUBE video. This is the video that started all the wonderful things happening in my YT channel now. It started out as a thank you video to all my earlier YouTube friends. Little did I know that this would be the video that would start the NoyTube community.
What is Noytube?
- NOYTUBE is an online group that I formed in YouTube whose sole purpose is to unite active, video-uploading Filipino YouTubers all around the world. NoyTube helps feature Pinoy talent and help them meet fellow Filipinos sharing the same interest. Absolutely everybody can join NoyTube, whether you're a Filipino or Non-Filipino. It's a fun group that welcomes all cultural diversities, at the same time promoting Filipino pride through YouTube videos.

What is your overall goal in terms of video production? Do you want to fully pursue this career?
- My overall goal is to continue to astound people with my directing and animation skills through video production. My hobby has always been storytelling through videos and it's a passion that will never burn out from me.
Yes! I do want to pursue this as a career. In fact, I am presently a director, video editor, animator and graphics artist in ABS-CBN. I still strive to learn more about filming so that I can eventually be part of the biggest motion picture making companies in the Philippines. Being part of the Pinoy film industry is my ultimate dream.
Any message to the viewers?
- Life is a big stage, and we are all performers. Each of us has a role to play. That's what matters. What you do.
Love who you are and what you do. Do not let other people tell you what you should be and what you should be doing with your life. Do what makes you happy. Life is beautiful no matter what. And do not let your memories be greater than your dreams.

An American, he has been seen on Philippine TV for the past few years doing interviews and guesting, not only due to his viral video, but also because of his passion for the Filipino culture and filmmaking. Aside from these, he is also a model, and has been seen alongside Katrina Halili and Lindsay Lohan. He is currently making videos on Youtube, with the recent themes revolving around the Filipino people, and this amazed Filipinos, especially seeing how he has been fitting in the country.
Personally, I knew about Travis before I even became a Youtuber, and this was through Greenpinoy. He shared his video to all of us in 2008, and eventually, I stumbled upon Travis again last 2010, and got the chance to talk to him about his videos. - How my famous adobo video came about is a bit of a long story. Basically, in 2006 I had a meeting with GMA 7 network about possibly doing some shows with them and while in the waiting room, I saw a poster on the wall for a cooking show they had. During the meeting I suggested having me as a guest on it, but I think they thought I was kidding and it never happened. Then in 2007, back in America, I decided I wanted to buy some video equipment for fun. I got some basic stuff and decided to test but I needed something to shoot. I remembered that I never appeared on that show so I decided to shoot my own little cooking segment just for fun. I shot the video real quick and then uploaded, not expecting anyone to ever watch it. To my surprise it became a viral hit.

- I think I actually started uploading to Youtube back in 2006. I was uploading clips from TV shows I was on. ABS-CBN got the whole account deleted because they filed a copyright claim against me, because I uploaded a clip from one of their TV shows I was on. I ended up creating a new account in 2007 after buying my own equipment, and the adobo video was one of the first I uploaded. I thought, "Wow, that is easy to get a lot of views!", and I thought that's just the way it worked. I later found out with other videos that getting masses of people to watch them would not be so easy.
Why did you decide to finally share your videos online?
- When I started sharing videos online, Youtube was in its infancy and I never gave it much thought. I never imagined it would evolve into something so important, not only to my life, but to the whole world and the way information is shared.

- My username on Youtube is poolboyinla and I think that is a stupid name. I chose that name because when I started uploading videos, I wasn't sure if I wanted people to know it was me uploading that stuff. Like I said, I didn't know how important Youtube would become. I wish I would have just chosen my real name. As for the poolboy part, I used to work as a poolboy as a summer job while going to college. I later named my video production company Poolboy Films.
What kind of videos do you do?
-The videos I do are very diverse. I don't like to stick to one theme or format because it is more interesting and challenging to explore different themes and genres. I have done short films, music videos, instructional, documentary, comedy, and more.

I have done 2 cooking videos, American Adobo and the sequel, Salo-Salo. I get a lot of requests to do more cooking videos but I really don't want to because I have done that and want to move on to other things. Also, I think people would get tired of it after awhile. The joke would grow old quick.
Another reason I don't want to do more is because I don't think I could make one better than Salo-Salo. I was very green as a filmmaker back then, but even though I am much more technical and sophisticated now, the concept was very creative and the emotions and motives behind it was very sincere and that comes across onscreen.
Where do you get your inspiration when it comes to making these videos?
- Inspiration and coming up with good ideas are probably my biggest problem. I am only one man and I can only come up with so many good ideas. I find inspiration in a number of ways. One is going for walks. This gets my blood flowing and my brain working. Also, it helps being outside because many of my videos are ultimately about showing the beauty of nature or the outside world, even if that isn't obvious because of the stories going on. Often though, inspiration just hits me out of the blue. Sometimes I will wake up in the middle of the night and an idea just comes to me. Inspiration is just one of those things that is hard to force. Some days you have it, some days you don't.
What is your BEST VIDEO that will summarize what you can offer ?
- It's really hard for me to pick my favorite video because they are all so diverse and have different meanings to me. Salo-Salo is very special to me because it was sort of like my birth as a filmmaker.
I guess the one that would show someone that is not familiar with me the best example of what I do is called Fight. It is a short film with no dialogue that is perhaps more like a music video. To me, films are usually better the less that is said, so speaking should be kept to a minimum, and in fact, many of my videos contain no dialogue. Basically, the story of Fight is that in the beginning it shows me and a female counterpart separately but both messed up. It then plays in reverse to get to the point that shows how we got that way.
What is your overall goal in terms of video production? Do you want to fully pursue this career?
- Right now, my only goal in terms of production is to entertain people. I don't need to be the most famous person on the planet or the most popular. I just want to have my audience and create things they enjoy.
Aside from FILM PRODUCTION, what else do you do?
- Aside from producing and directing, I had a pretty good career as a model and done other things in entertainment, mainly some acting. At the end of 2010, I decided to take a break from those things, especially modeling, to focus on videomaking. The other thing is that I had been modeling for several years and had a good run. I figured being on more billboards or doing another major campaign would not make me any happier as a person. Also, getting older, it is harder to diet all the time and always keep my weight down for shoots. I want to enjoy life and enjoy food.
You've been featured plenty of times and you've done many projects, which among struck you the most? Why?
- I didn't achieve all my goals in the entertainment industry, but it doesn't matter to me anymore. I realize I did a lot and a lot of other people would kill to do some of the things I got to do. Probably the most notable of of things I have done, at least to other people, is the photo shoot I did with Lindsay Lohan for Harper's Bazaar magazine.

That is not my favorite job I have done out of everything, but it's probably the one I get asked about the most. I am not sure which one would be my favorite offhand because I did so many jobs but I think while I was doing them, I took the time to appreciate and enjoy them.
