I know that I was supposed to follow up my last blog post about synchronicity and serendipity, but I just wanted to post this awesome dining place we went to, before I headed on to another inspirational post. 

I've been on food trips with my BFF, Cristina, for the past few weeks (but I am still mindful of my food intake! Haha!), and if you still haven't checked out our last food trip at Butter in Surry Hills, click this link. 

Last week, me and Cristina had a lovely dinner at Top Ryde. We chose to eat at SMOKKIM Modern Kitchen. It's a restaurant that serves Korean dishes with a modern twist.

We started off with Sweet Potato Chips. They were so crispy! I prefer these chips over the usual potato chips. Although I didn't get to try their version of potato chips, I think I'd still prefer these. Haha!

Cristina then ordered SCALLOP CARPACCIO (E=$14; M=$28), and it was definitely refreshing! 

Since we are soooo Asian, we can't eat without rice. Stereotyping myself! I have cut down on my rice intake for the past few months, but you can never say no to a KIMCHI PAELLA with TIGER PRAWN AND EDEMAME (E=$12; M=$24)!

I enjoyed the chicken, because they were really crunchy!!! We didn't even finish them because there were a lot on the plate. Good for takeaways! 

Anyway, overall, the feel of the restaurant definitely has the signature touch. Some items do get a bit expensive as well, especially the signature ones. However, I enjoyed the dining experience, and I was definitely full and satisfied!
