Vietnamese Pork Rolls Banh Mi

Thursday, April 16, 2015Traveliztera

If you live in Australia, you are very much familiar with the consistent hype of Vietnamese Pork Rolls or Banh Mi.

I discovered this a few years ago when I walked past a small bakery shop that was selling Pork and Chicken Rolls. I was really really hungry, so I thought of just buying a Pork Roll not out of curiosity, but out of hunger.

I thought that it was a just normal sandwich with pork, lettuce, and carrots.

I was wrong.

That was one unique pork roll! Then I found out it was a Vietnamese Pork Roll. The baguette is packed with Vietnamese cold cuts, roast pork, pâté, pickled carrots, coriander, cucumber, soy sauce, fish sauce, spring onions, and chili.

YUMMM!

Now there are a lot of Vietnamese shops that sell these nomnoms, but among the recommended ones are the following:

1) Vinata's Hot Bread, Cabramatta
2) Hong Ha Hot Bread, Mascot
3) Marrickville Pork Roll, Marrickville

If you have any recommendations, let me know! I would love to try them! NOM NOM!
