Open Letter to PETER JACKSON

This is an open letter to Mr. Peter Jackson...
Dear Mr. Peter Jackson,
Before anything else, I would like to commend you for your great cause with the American Red Cross, by zombifying through AMC (The Walking Dead). I am a huge fan of THE LORD OF THE RINGS, ZOMBIES, and THE WALKING DEAD, and I love supporting great causes as well. Thus, I admire you so much for this.

Anyway, when I was 13 years old, I fell in love with your work during THE LORD OF THE RINGS years. My dad has been pushing me to watch the first movie, because he knew all about the books when he was young. Unfortunately, I refused because of my other interests that time, so it was just him and mom who watched. However, everyone started talking about it, and what pushed me more was when I saw how dad has been reading the books, and browsing other companion books at bookstores.
My curiosity grew, so I decided to ask my cousin to watch it with me. Without Legolas entering the scene yet, I was already hooked during the first few scenes. I wasn't hooked just because of the cast, but also due to the story's development. I already felt how much effort was placed into work, with Middle-earth coming to life, and now being accessible through its existence in New Zealand. Then Legolas entered the scene. That is a different story. Haha.

Anyway, I started reading the books after getting emotionally caught by your work, and had all the companion books, such as the encyclopedias and other references, making me learn more about J.R.R. Tolkien's world. My enthusiasm grew, and just to be clear again (since others might assume that I ONLY WATCH the movies because I LOVE LEGOLAS), my passion for The Lord of the Rings is separate from Orlando Bloom. They have their own place in my heart. Hehe.
There are several reasons why I wrote this letter. Firstly, I wanted to tell you how much I've been admiring and following your team's work through documentaries and interviews. I am very impressed and amazed of everyone's work. I am now 23 years old. I cannot believe how much time has passed, and how I did not notice the length of time I've been actually waiting for THE HOBBIT to come. Now, it's finally here! I am really excited and happy, because I grew up with your amazing creation, that is now part of the memorable history of the film industry. Secondly, I recently moved to Sydney, and when you were doing your promotions with The Lord of the Rings, I was still in the Philippines, and was not able to be part of those amazing premiere nights. I am hoping that THE HOBBIT will again be promoted here in Sydney, as I would also like to experience the magic you once brought a decade ago during your premiere nights. That would be a fulfilling experience... I am sure it will be! I am looking forward to it. I admire your work, and I hope to see you (not in a stalker mode) and the rest of the cast here! That would be a dream come true. =)

Thank you for making Tolkien's work come to life. You and your team were able to pass on Tolkien's work to the current and upcoming generation. You kept his work alive further, and made others appreciate the true beauty of the classics. Thank you again! And I hope to see you here in Sydney soon!
